I've done double digit weeks twice. Both were flukes.

The first one was my first week of losing, when I went from 298 to 285. Thirteen pounds. I told everyone that it was only 10 though, because I didn't want to admit to being that close to 300 at the beginning. I think this was just because my body dropped ten pounds due to the indignity of being forced to eat less and move more for the first time in over a decade.

The second time was the week after the three day. This had a lot to do with the fact that I had gained five pounds in three days over the length of the walk, and it all just fell off and took more with it. Neither time did I plan to lose double digits in a week.

The moral is that you CAN do it, but you're going to need hard work, and maybe a little luck. We're all rooting for you to do it though. Shoot for the stars, Will. Holding back never got anybody anywhere.

I wouldn't stress the shoulder too much when it is sore. Shoulder and knee injuries seem to be some of the worst injuries as far as healing time is concerned. Any time I have pain in my shoulder, I'll switch to DB alternatives for the shoulder exercises that I'm doing...it takes some of the stress off of your shoulder. If that doesn't help then do what Rip said and hit the legs hard.

Keep it up man.

I agree wholeheartedly, Rob, but who's to say we can't sprint every once in a while when we have the energy to do so? :)

Be real careful about gunning for 'double digits'. I mean, it's a GREAT goal to have, but remember that the situation that the people on Biggest Loser are in isn't a reality - no matter what they say.

Focus on 2 pounds a week. Anything else should be a luxury. This is a marathon, not a sprint.

Only 16 pounds to go! That's awesome.

And listen to Ripx - work out those legs like crazy. You won't regret that!

Glad to see things are on the up swing for you man. Let the shoulder rest for a little while and punish the crap out of your legs. they are the biggest muscles in your body and will give you the biggest results.

At your current weight I think you could pull a double digit week. Do remember that those freaks on that show work out 3-5 hours a day and eat perfect. They have every working in their favor to succeed. We watch the biggest loser at my house too. I have to admit that I love the show and the inspiration it gives me. I always end up working out while watching it wanting to be like them.

Also as many people have said on these blogs before "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail". So make your meal plan / exercise plan and plan to succeed. Hold the line bro and the weight will come off.

I've had problems with my shoulder as well. Ice it, take Advil, and if it really hurts give it a rest day or two. Still work out, but do movements that don't require your shoulder to engage much. Also, stretch it out really well in your warm-up, it helps me quite a bit. Good work on your weight loss, keep it up bro.
