Well, to be honest, my “Blogging Bleh” continues. I crossed the ninety pounds of weight loss total mark this morning, and I’ve spent all day trying to think of something rousing to write about.

I’ve got nothing.

So, hurray ninety pounds, but I want a hundred. I’m going to keep my caloric intake low and smart. To be honest, I haven’t been to the gym since I got back from southeast Oregon, now more than a week ago. I just haven’t had much of a drive, combined with my immediate need to save cash in every possible way for the next couple of weeks (including gas money on my fuel hungry F-150), and the fact that my left shin / ankle still hurt whenever I’m on them for any length of time. So, no gym time for me. I know I should correct it; I likely will soon.

Hurray ninety pounds.

Susie mentioned something about a workout mix in her most recent post, and I mentioned sometime back on this blog about my own workout mixes. Somehow, I never got around to posting mine, so I figure now’s about time for it.

I’ve got a couple different mixes on my iPod depending on what kind of mood I’m in: The “Epic” mix of classical works as well as game and movie soundtracks, “Jesus Muzik” which is Christian hip-hop, and finally my “All Out War” mix. The War mix is my main one, and it features, well, a lot of everything: metal, hard rock, motivational quotes (I’ll upload a .zip file of the collected mp3s), and such.

I’ll share them all here over the next couple of blog posts.

I Have A Jawline View Comments

Will has a jawline now!

I have discovered something pretty increadible over the last few days: I have a visible jawline! It may be just barely there, but, dangit, it’s there, alright! And for whatever reason, that makes me really stoked. So stoked, in fact, that I thought I should share a photo comparison with you all for proof!

I was on the road this weekend, doing the worship / music / teaching ministry thing at a church in Wilemina, Oregon. I had a pretty good time – and no sixteen mile hikes in flip flops this time! So that’s always a plus. I had two good meals (pizza and Ruby Tuesdays), but managed to keep the rest of my nutrition intake in line, so the weight kept going down.

I’m getting close to the ninety pound mark now. I can’t let myself slip up, which meant I had to tell my buddy that I couldn’t go eat Indian food with him this week. That really hurt, I gotta tell ya! But, you do what you have to for the results you want.

And I want three digits.

Not much to report other than I have had little motivation to write this week. In all honesty, I’ve had little motivation to do anything ever since I got back from my little wilderness adventure, which is a really, really, really bad thing when you are self employed!

I’ve just been feeling discombobulated all week, and it’s spilt over into my lack of blogging. So today, you get a blog about how I’ve been unable to blog this week! How’s that?

I haven’t been even to the gym this week, but my eating’s been good. So, the pounds are down.

Today’s Weigh-In: 357.2 pounds

Days Till Goal: 27

The last couple of days have been a train wreck, and I’m not just talking about my eating (although I certainly did return to the land of fast food and Dr. Pepper, too). For the days after my wilderness night walk, I was left hobbling around like an old man. No blisters, fortunately, but everything from my hips to my ankles hurt.

I’ve sat around, grumbling at how I felt, doing nothing productive for work, playing Diablo II, and eating poorly. I treated being really sore as a pass to do – and eat – whatever I wanted. Instead, I should have told myself, “I’m not going to get to the gym for the next few days to lift or do cardio, so I need to keep my nutrition super strong so I don’t loose any ground.”

As it stands, I’ve lost any progress I’ve made the past week. In fact, yesterday I was up in my 359s in the morning, before I took control of myself.

Oh well, the past couple of days are, in fact, in the past. Time to get back to the fight. I’m still sore – mostly my calves, ankles, and skins at this point (rather than my quads and hammies) – so I may try and hit up the gym today for some lifting, or maybe wait until tomorrow.

But at least my eating will be spot on.
