Will I think you have a lot of good points in this post. I too have never been much of an emotional eater, so usually when I eat like shit it is just because I like the taste so much, I don't want to stop.

I have one issue though...you always have such a great gameplan, it just seems as though you don't stick to it. You are way more detailed in your approach than I am which is awesome, and if you followed it you'd be out of your plateau...so follow the 2nd thing you learned from cakegate!

This is exactly how I am thinking. Althoug I am not counting calories yet I will be soon. Eating has always been social for me. Like smoking or drinking if someone else is doing it I will do it if offered. Its like free food at the office. It shows up and I just got to have a piece. I am starting to feel the food. Does that sound wierd. What I mean is I can feel when I eat something bad or when I eat something good. I have different energy levels and attitude.

I just did that on Sunday night. Thankfully it's gone today. But I hear you - I get in certain social situations and my mind goes on autopilot. I end up doing the old thing, not the new thing. But daily weigh-ins and blogging keeps me honest and accountable, and that's what it's all about for me.
